Mark your calendars for our annual Wild Game Dinner
on Saturday, Feb. 17th, 2024 at the Community Complex
Tickets will be available at membership outlets mid January
This banquet would not be possible without the donations from our members. If you have been fortunate enough to harvest wild game please consider donating a roast or ground meat to the Banquet Committee. Please contact Brain Lansing 250-428-5764 for pick up or to arrange a drop off.
Each February the Rod & Gun Club hosts a dinner/dance at the Community Centre:
Funds raised at this event will contribute to the next stage of the Return of the Kokanee salmon Project and youth archery, life-to-fish programs, as well as our many other wildlife and fish habitat conservation projects.
Our ANNUAL WILD GAME DINNER, FUND-RAISER AND TROPHY AWARDS.
Besides having fun, our goals are to recognize the hunting and fishing achievements of members, young and old and to raise money for the year’s projects.
The beautifully catered meal features salmon and a variety of game meats donated by successful members (often including deer, elk, moose, cougar, etc.) and an exotic meat. Beef is of course also on the menu.
Raffles, door prizes, card draws, bucket draws and a silent auction make for a lively and entertaining evening. Each year lucky participants walk out with chainsaws, bows, firearms, or a variety of smaller items made possible by the wonderful support we receive from community businesses.
SCHEDULE:
- Doors open at 4:00pm
- Trophy Presentations begin at 4:30pm
- Fund-raising events
- Dinner at 7:00pm
- Dance at 9:00pm
